Verify a TymeBank (now GoTyme Bank) statement PDF
TymeBank now operates as GoTyme Bank, so the statement you receive may carry either name. Whichever it is, check whether the PDF shows signs of editing the eye cannot see. The same checks run on every PDF, whichever bank issued it.
How GoTyme Bank clients get and send a statement
TymeBank clients now bank on the GoTyme Bank app. GoTyme Bank’s help page says the old TymeBank app has been discontinued, and that account information, balances and cards stay the same. Older statements, saved before the change, may still carry the TymeBank name. A statement with the older name is not a warning sign on its own.
In the app, the client opens Menu and selects Bank Statement or Proof of Account. GoTyme Bank says the documents are sent to the client’s email address within minutes. The client needs a registered email address for this, which they can add under Personal Information in their profile.
So a GoTyme Bank statement normally starts life in the client’s inbox and reaches you as a forwarded email or a file shared on WhatsApp. Ask for that PDF, not a screenshot of the app.
If the statement asks for a password
- GoTyme Bank does not publish a statement password rule on a page we could verify, so we do not state one. The email the statement arrived with, or GoTyme Bank’s help page, explains any password.
- A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be checked here. One that opens without a password is checked normally.
- Do not ask the applicant to remove a password for you. Ask them to request the statement again in the GoTyme Bank app and send you a copy that opens without a password.
- Never ask for the applicant’s app login or PIN. You need the statement file only.
Why a quick look at a statement misses edits
A digital bank’s statement is short and plain, which makes it easy to read and just as easy to trust. A figure changed on a computer looks no different on screen from one the bank produced.
The name change adds a second trap: you may be comparing a statement with the wrong mental picture of what it should look like. Comparing by eye is not a reliable test in either case. A file check looks at the PDF itself and shows signs of editing the eye cannot see.

Are TymeBank and GoTyme Bank the same bank?
TymeBank now operates as GoTyme Bank. GoTyme Bank says the old TymeBank app has been discontinued and that clients’ account information, balance and cards remain unchanged. Statements from before the change may carry the TymeBank name.
The statement says TymeBank, but the applicant banks with GoTyme Bank. Is that a problem?
Not by itself. It may simply be an older statement. If you need recent months, ask for a fresh statement from the GoTyme Bank app, and check the PDF you receive.
Is there a GoTyme Bank service to verify a statement?
We did not find a public one. If you have doubts about a statement, contact GoTyme Bank directly. A file check does not replace the bank: it tells you whether the PDF shows signs of editing, not whether the bank issued it.
