Compare with what you pay today
A document check does a different job from a credit report or a bureau screening. Those tell you about the person’s credit record; Atomara looks at the file you were given. Fill in your own figures below.
- The applicant’s own credit report
- Free once a year Every South African can get their own credit report free once a year from each registered credit bureau (NCR). Outside that allowance, a once-off TransUnion credit report and score costs the consumer R80.70 (myTransUnion, as displayed 22/09/2026). That is the person’s own report, not a landlord’s tenant check, and it shows credit history, not whether a statement was edited.

- Your provider’s quote Tenant screening from a bureau such as TPN is sold through subscriptions and resellers, and no per-check price is published (checked 22/09/2026). Use the rate on your own contract.
- Checking a file by eye
- Your staff time An estimate you can fill in: minutes spent on each application × applications a month × your hourly staff cost. An edited PDF can look exactly like a real one on screen, so that time does not tell you whether the file was changed.

Pricing questions
Do unused checks expire?
Yes. Starter pack checks are valid for 90 days and Pro pack checks for 180 days. On the Team, Business and Scale plans, checks are counted per calendar month and do not carry over.
Which plan should I choose?
Count the documents, not the applicants: a rental or credit application is usually three statements and a payslip. A landlord with two or three applicants a quarter fits the Starter pack. If you check files every week, a monthly plan costs less per check. Not sure? Start with the free checks and tell us your volume in the request form.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Tell us through the form or by email, and we agree the change with you.
Is there a discount for agencies with several branches?
Ask us. Tell us how many branches you have and roughly how many documents each one checks a month, and we will reply with terms for your agency.
Do you have a reseller programme?
Talk to us. Choose Enterprise in the request form and describe what you have in mind.
How do I pay?
There is no card payment on the site. Once we have agreed your plan, we send you an invoice or a payment link.
How long can I see a report?
Uploaded files are deleted within 30 days of upload. Export the report as a PDF if you need to keep it with the application file.
